ಈ ನಿರರ್ಥಕ ಅನಿಶ್ಚಿತ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವು ವಸ್ತುಗಳ 

ಹಾಗೂ ನನ್ನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತಗಳ 

ಹಣೆಬರಹ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಳೆದುಹೋದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಳ 

ಈ ಮರು ಅನುಭವಗಳ 

ಹೊರತು ಬೇರಾವ ಆಶ್ವಾಸನೆ ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

ಎಂದೇ, ಇದೋ ಈ ಸರ್ವಮಾನ್ಯ ನದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ

ನಾನು ಅಲೆಯಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಅಲೆಗಳಾಗಿ,

ಹಾಯಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುವೆ,

ಯಾವ ಕೋರಿಕೆಗಳೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೇ

ಅವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು

ಯಾವ ದೇವರುಗಳೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೇ.
